SB will only let me do opaque or nothing I WANT TRANSLUCENT

Not possible bud, but you can put a second sprite under another sprite and make that one transparent.

And the sprite sheet (GRP) doesn't. You need to use SPCOLOR if you mean the sprite sheet.
