OK so here's what it is, A 2d RTS game. The goal is to dominate the other enemy by destroying there HQ and getting rid of any buildings that they have that can generate troops(E.G. if their HQ is destroyed but they still have barracks then the enemy will continue to fight and survive.) Things to note- Enemy might surrender if there HQ is destroyed if not they will continue to fight.
The AI will perform many things such as scout, Attack, Defend with unique tactics such as sending a huge amount of troops to set a "buffer zone" if it thinks their defense won't hold out.
The AI will also have the ability to stock up on troops and send a mass attack*will make it so a different bgm will play for a unique experience*
There might be team battles
There might be a level creator system
Troops types to be included are land,air and sea.
Modernized troops like tanks but also futuristic like hover tanks, transformation types like a jet that can transform into a submarine.
Planning to include day/night time zones
Planning to add explosions and smoke effects when troops die,
Certain troops may not enter certain terrains, E.G.( regular tanks may not enter the water tiles but hover tanks can)
There will be a limit on how many units there could be because of sprites and smile basic ability not to lag.
Lots to implement so it will take a while for full release
Will not give up on this game because I had it planned out for years and I have an idea on how to make everything work. If you have any questions please let me know.
Important Note- this game as of now will not feature Multiplayer and some things above such as the level creator might not be in the full version in the start of release or might not be a feature at all.

Ok so here's the plot-
The world has been generally a peaceful place. There was a time though when certain EVENT's caused at first a few civilizations to split away from the rest of the world and go independent. Usually this wouldn't take a huge impact but a key civilization called United Republic, desired to split away because they felt that they were giving away to many resources and helping other countries in their time of need but they didn't receive much even foreign aid when a natural disaster impacted them. They were ignored most of the time in the Global Hearing(its a worldwide "court" were they address many things that countries have a problem with. For the first few hundreds of years it all worked out but it started to collapse because of many different things such as "National pride" and also people with dictator ship skills that people follow because of fear(E.G. the Nazi's. When Hitler kept demanding more and more land before the Allies eventually declared war.)
The United Republic along with many other countries broke away and some stayed independent with everyone or decided to create their own "Global Hearing" so that "Every voice is heard, it simply does not matter if your homeland is big or small, rich or poor, everyone's voice will be heard"- General from Aqua Hybrids. It was ok besides propaganda spreading which side was best, the ones in Global Hearing or the other one(no name yet) which causes military build up...
20 years later and a few countries independent from the world have been conquered and or destroyed because of treason from the groups in the Global Hearing. (Other group) sent aid such as medicine and food but not military aid because they did not want a global war to start(and because 70% of the world is with the Global Hearing. What the other group did not want to happen would happen and would lead to the winning of the(Other group) because a huge war broke out and which could have lead to the (Other group) defeat but the United Republic and Aqua Hybrids joined alliance with(Other group) because they were outraged how the (other group) signed the peace treaty's (even if it had unfair rules) and the Global Hearing still conducted a full scale attack(they planned on wiping out the "rebels".)
How could United Republic and Aqua Hybrids help defeat the Global Hearing? One thing, they were so tech advanced that they were left alone even if they were both independent from the world. When the war ended it didn't end so great as a happy story...
That sounds like an interesting plot. That's actually really good. Hope to see what this turns out as.
Thanks, but the thing is. This isn't the story plot you play, the story you play is based on the events after that huge war, And also why a few fractions hate United Republic and Aqua Hybrids and feel that their war efforts are to strike them down for revenge.

Anyway, you should plan what you will do first because this project looks complicated. This include:
-How many unit will be in the game?
-What are the rules of each unit?(rock, paper, scissor or the one with better stats win)
-How many image will use each unit?

Anyway, you should plan what you will do first because this project looks complicated. This include: -How many unit will be in the game? -What are the rules of each unit?(rock, paper, scissor or the one with better stats win) -How many image will use each unit?0) both game mechanics will be used to make the game feel new 1) I have to add the important stuff first such as the games engine and what not. After that's going smooth I'll see how many troops will be allowed so their won't be lag. I haven't started on the game engine yet but I'm thinking that their could be a bug with this so the more buildings you have(the barracks,air port, ect) it will decrease your troop deployment limit but only if you pass your base limit for buildings. 2-3) units will have many different things in play that make them unique such as base HP(no increase but can be healed. If HP is a below a certain amount there sprites will change to- slightly damaged, heavily damaged, and destroyed), different speed, armour(if any), and also tile def(so certain troops may not enter a certain place.eg- land units such as Tanks may not enter sea/lava tiles but air units can go over those two tiles and sea units only on sea tiles.) Units will behave like ("cat and mouse") that being said AI will follow your units and try to reach you and kill your units. All of them will have a radius were they may shoot and it will vary(tanks have shorter range than artillery). If there inside the firing range they will attack if not they will follow but not shoot. Keep in mind they are planned to fall back if their HP is below 10%. Also protect certain buildings that are valuable like the HQ, oil refinery, Barracks, turrets and ect. Some buildings are worth more than others so the AI won't mind loosing that building if it located far away from the valuable ones. Also they are planned to conduct fierce attacks if you go and attack these buildings and such. Each troop will have better stats then the other but they can be combated by mass numbers of weaker units.(if you need me to make and example of this let me know :)) also I don't understand your last part, images per each unit as in sprite ID's?

Demo- idk, will take a while (I have my logo done when you load the program. I'm working on basic units sprites ATM) I will state when the demo will come, when the time comes, I don't want to say a set day and then delay it, gives bad reputation to devs.
PS. Everything will be in separate files to speed up production. When I do complete everything I'll group them up little by little
