Releasing a new game from the land of the rising sun - Escape the Office!
If you've never heard of the "escape the room" genre, basically you're locked inside a room/building, and you have to collect clues, solve puzzles, and use items to escape. Why not try this out as your first experience in this genre? Who knows, you may get addicted to it!
This game starts with a tutorial on the basic controls. Then it's up to you to investigate and find clues like this screenshot, and figure out what it means. Sometimes you have to crack a code too. Can you make it to the exit?

Nice; lohadl, you're really amazing for taking the time to translate all these things.
He really is.
I probably would continue playing but since I am really bad at these escape games, I totally got stuck on a certain part.

I hope the new version has a better puzzle in the final room, because the current one is impossible to understand.

The final puzzle was more impossible to solve when I test played it, and I suggested the current improvement. I added the hint "Look back to your journey" which the original didn't have, too.
So what did you do in this game? You collected 7 items. Seven.
Spoiler
With that in mind, don't all those numbers and squares look like mini-maps? That's right, go back and retrace the exact locations of all 7 items you picked up. There are traces like the circle on the conference table, the blue posters, etc.Replying to:Villit

Still way harder than any other puzzle in the game.
Still a lazy explanation.
Still doesn't make sense.
Still not worth the effort.
Looks like at that point the creator just ran out of ideas.

I still think it's a great idea to incorporate "revisiting your journey" as a way to solve the final "boss" puzzle.
I even threw in 2 large hints, absent from the original:
^This message implies that players can read the item descriptions anytime
^EACH item's description tells you where it's found, no need to remember where you collected them.
Unlike indie games, I believe SB programs are for showing off your ideas regardless of how unconventional it seems.
This is clearly the author's brainchild concept since the beginning of creation, so instead of attributing it to laziness, I'd like to help nurturing it.
If you or somebody can suggest a way to improve this (without changing the puzzle, and I already added location hints), that'd be great.

I'd like to know how many people have finished the game by themselves and have given positive feedback on that final puzzle.
If I'm the only one complaining then of course I'm simply dumb.

That's not the point. You're among the clever ones who arrived at the final puzzle, where half of those who played this couldn't figure out the black-and-white picture code.
I'm asking how we can improve on the last puzzle so we can release a v1.60. (Forget the sequel for a mo, I don't know if I can help him yet)
More messages? Something else? I don't want to dumb it down by putting "It's the location of my items and I should check the descriptions." Something clever.

I think this game is unbeatable without cheating, but it's still better than average!
I'm looking for a more clever hint to improve the last puzzle. Apparently the hints I added in was still not enough... Any ideas?
