An attempted danmaku shooter. It is built off of the structure of a program named MAIDFLY, by Kiyo; included for reference in the project's folder. That boss is sadistic as heck!!

Instructions:

In the main game, the file named SUFFICIENT, you may use the circle pad or directional pad to move, A to fire, and L or R to slow your movement speed and reveal your hitbox (used to detect whether or not a bullet hits you).

The entirety of the code was not written by me; it was written by Kiyo, who made MAIDFLY: the program with the structure this program is built from.

1/6/18 i updated the game to accomodate to an sb update and i decided to add progress i made afterwards And to make the game more what i want, I made the boss sadistic as heck! I gave her distorted, combined versions of a battle I designed of her, previously for my own personal amusement, in a file called HECKISH_BOSS. Oh and i translated Japanese text maybe and credited papihime-san for their beloved MAIDFLY ingame. and i updated the player's sprites so she has overly radiant hair and shoots pinecones (actually are supposed to be leaves) instead of leaves I'm pretty proud of how she looks! The result is a game for people with severe thrill problems, talking to people who fight Sans everyday, and masochists
Spoileroh btw yes the boss is possible!? I got to the boss with no lives lost b4. I beat the boss' first phase with no lives lost, maybe. I beat the second phase S O M E H O W. The third phase isn't too bad: I beat it without rainbow bullets... and directions of rainbow bullets are random so it theoretically could shoot them all above it so it'd be like they're not there... that phase is possible... Are you... wondering if I beat the game in one run? GOOD HEAVENS NO THE DIFFICULTY IS ABSURD but it's possible

Beating the game is possible... I got to the boss' third phase, with 3 lives, and for some reason, the boss shot but did not move... I got to phase 3 when it was switching directions, I think. I wonder if that had something to do with it. But, I won with 3 lives left I think. 56:15. I didn't win exactly fairly, but now I know winning is possible!
