Plot development

I'm not certain if this thread belongs here or under "Talk About Programs," so if I'm wrong, I apologize. Since SmileBasic came out, I have been working on creating an RPG. I laid some groundwork for a battle system, and since then I've been trying to iron out a plot (because without knowing the details of who, what, when, where, why I can't do much else). Unfortunately, I've really just hit a brick wall. Does anybody here have creative tips/helpful advice for writing out a plot line? Lately, I just seem to be really short on creativity/inspiration and I need a way to work through it.

You could play a few games, analyse the plot and key features, and then spice it up. But don't take the whole plot! Just, you know, take parts here and their but before you go to work make sure it all makes sense. Other wise the game is...well bleh... Key notes Antagonist (s) Some one clear Or Someone you wouldn't suspect Protagonist Someone with special abilities that their destiny is layer out ahead of them Or Someone who isn't ment to be a hero but as the timeline goes they become a/the hero Music! Make good bgm that fits the plot and what not Timeline Best if you write this down on paper or coding can be messy Make up events that will slowly drive to the climax slowly/or boom, right on point!(leaves the player like what the f%#*$ XD

This is actually something I expect to have problems with, too. The games I enjoy (and in turn, the games I want to make) are the ones with a plot and characters that are very real and deep. Good enough that it can be compared to a good book. This is something I expect to suck at but as they say, practice makes perfect! SmileBASIC is the perfect opportunity to start.
