This is my entry for the 4th Smile Basic Ogiri contest. Slime Vs Ninja ver 2.0 (I added more stuff from Ogiri contest version) Evil Ninja stole slime village's treasure. King Slime follows Ninja's trail to get the treasure back. Avoid traps, shoot everything, and get the treasure back! 3 different items 1)Power up - for short amount time, you shoot stronger shots. 2)Speed up - for short amount time, you move faster. 3)Time stop - for short amount of time, enemies on screen stop moving. There are 2 different playable characters. Finish the game to unlock the hidden hard-mode character. Based on US/JP region setting, some of art and boss will be different. Some of stages have multiple exit. choose it wisely. ver 2.0: I added demo play. (don't press anything on title screen to see demo play) I added boss HP bar with icon. I added unlimited continue. (it will be easier to finish the game now)

move = D pad Shoot = A B Y buttons Pause = X button

Notes:

This game automatically select regions when you first run the game. On JP 3DS or WiiU, you will see Japanese title first. On non-JP 3DS(such as US or EU 3DS), you will see English title first. Region setting can be changed in option menu and can be saved. Changes in 2.0 added demo play. added how to play screen added boss HP bar with icon added unlimited continue. Changes from old version: added waiting period before snowman boss' spin attack. and submarine boss will throw bomb slowly on the 2nd loop hard mode. but other than that, nothing is changed. (same difficulty). latest ver 2.0 key : XDR3VV4V new version key : 4RV3DX3D old version key : B3NQK3RJ

wow! ChangeV you're a master at programing awsome and good looking games, but I never would have expected to see anything this good! It feels like a game I could find on the E-shop. My favorite part is all the cutscenes, the begining cut scene especially and all of the boss portraits! This is one of the most polished game's i've seen on Smilebasic! Good Job!

Very nice game. I want to do a 2d train sim/ runner and the backgrounds the way they scroll is kind of what I'm looking for. Slime vs Ninja is sweet

Ninja Masuda's Comment A humorous side-scrolling shooter. It’s made by a Mr. ChangeV from the USA, but he definitely understands the way of the ninja! The female ninjas that appear from revolving doors are brilliant! It might not be particularly new or original, but it’s beautifully made. The stages are very varied, there are lots of different power-ups, and the mighty boss waiting at the end is great. This is a very well balanced game that never loses its charm.
The opening sequence with an angry slime chasing after the ninja who stole its treasure is also very cute.

I really need to try this! SmileBOOM uploaded a video of it and I didn't realize just how much there was to it! Congrats on the win!
