(Off-Topic) What happened to Bomberman?

I've heard last month that there was a new Bomberman game in development since 2017. Unfortunately, it was a joke. Instead of a new game, it was more Super Bomberman R. It was Boncurry's curries with SBR slapped on the boxes. I believe Bomberman's last core game is Super Bomberman R. The last spin-off in the franchise and final game overall, I believe, is Bombergirl. Bomberman's last appearance is in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Do you know what happened to Bomberman?

bomberperson is ded - rip bobmermen - we wish you well buh-bye pom-pom guy

Ye pretty much that. It looks like we will never get a bomberman game again.

Exactly! In other words, Konami is milking Super Bomberman R dry as a cash cow like if Konami were to be Nick and if SBR were to be Spongebob. So that means Bomberman is dead in favor of a reboot of Ganbare Goemon. Now we'll be like "Bye, Bomberman. It's super nice knowing you. I love you, Bomberman, but we wish you well miss you. Good luck in heaven, awesome friend..." 😢

There is a board game coming up from IDW Games, Tower Guard Games, and Konami, sure, but it has a serious name for the board game (Bomberman: Blast Tactics), could be frustarting to play, and could be messy to play because of how the power-up cards, bomb pieces, Bombermen, and blocks get organized. I disagree on the board game. That's my opinion. 😉 Here's my joke: When I bought Bomberman: Blast Tactics, I replaced the board with the paper shredder, and I had the velociraptor eat the cards and all the other BBT board game pieces for breakfast!

Bomberman: Blast Tactics designer here. If you know the heuristics of Bomberman you can learn this game in 5 minutes. I am a diehard Bomberman fan and know you all will enjoy this game as it is faithful to the franchise and tries to capture the essence of the game while still being fast and fun. Look forward to it!
