Bears have evolved the ability to shapeshift into anything (or anyone) you can imagine! (Or maybe your eyesight is just really poor?) Either way, one wrong step could be your last in the randomly generated world of Super Bearland. Hunt those beasts down before they hunt you! Talk to people to get Clues about the Bear's location and disguise. Check objects to find the Tools you need to take the Bear down! But if you accidentally Talk to or Check the Bear, it's Game Over! Each round lasts 2-5 minutes, but no two games are alike with randomized levels, optional challenges, and a heaping helping of unlockables. Keep playing and experimenting to see if you can find them all!

Instructions:

Haha just wanted to sjare a funny glitch that happened to me, so I Wsd looking through the code and seeing how your aaving worked and stuff so I changed a number and saved (no I was not trying to cheat before anyone says that) but it triggered a SB wide glitch that hid every file other than grps's, now this scared me a ton cause I was like did it delete every one if my files?! (I looked through every projectvi had yes) and it was all like that, so I got out of sb and then vack on and all was back to normal and I was verer able to replicare this afain so I have no way to show or prove any of this but it did happen and it was very scary, my own guess is that it was the sata and it messed with sb but who knows maybe someone will fi.d a way yo replicate and it will become the new sb troll glitch. Anyways that's about all I think..

There’s a button in the file viewer, at the bottom of the screen.

I thought I could resist, but no. I simply cannot go without trying this game! Downloading it now lol.

Don't worry! It's not nearly as scary as the description claims. You can turn the jump scares off, and there's only a very mild chance that the bear will come out and maul you for cheating.

Wait WHAT? You mean cheating as in editing the data or turning off the jumpscares? Pretty mean if it’s the jumpscares :/

Played 2 bear mode, won, and got an Illegal Function Call in 6581 (SPHIDE:1). RIP meee

Turning jumpscares off is not considered cheating. I'd never punish the player for using an accessibility option. That'd be like punishing someone for being colorblind or photosensitive.

Yeah don't forget to keep your save files. I intend to keep those compatible across all versions and updates. ...And btw, you saw one of the jumps. If you leave them on, there's more to be seen...

I have an idea for a new mode. A mode where the bear actually moves through towns, disguised as different objects. New hints like, “The bear has passed by here recently” or “No bears have passed by here yet” or “The bear is traveling north” could be used. If the bear runs into an empty town, then he does not disguise himself and instantly kills you if you enter that town. No indication on the map would show this. He may move and change direction at will every time the player moves, talks, or checks. He could even move into the town you’re in. This would make visiting towns more strategic and the game more interesting (and scary). It might work. But you might also need more towns to make it not really difficult.

I learned very early on that having the bear move, teleport, or change disguises was a bad idea - at least for the game I was trying to make. The entire game is built around gathering clues that are almost useless by themselves, but when added together solve a puzzle. Every time the bear moves, then all the clues based on position become unreliable, and combined with exponential growth, it just becomes a guessing game.

Just played the 3 beast mode and got rekt again lol. For me even the dramatic text when you lose is a bit of a jumpscare lol. It would be funny if you added an option to replace that text with small text that said “you lost lol”

Oh yeah some suggestions I had. Remap the notes button to L since I don’t want to keep accidentally click it when I’m speeding up all the text. Also, this is more subjective, but it might be better to have a scoreboard for each mode, to see how good you are at each of them. I can easily beat classic mode, but failing 3 beast mode quickly lessens my lead.

Customizable controls are a future goal. You can also speed the text up by holding down L, holding down anywhere on the touch screen, or by tapping the ▶▶ icon.

Could we get a changelog on this page for each new version? It would be nice to see what's changed at a glance.

Major updates, yes. So far it's just been "fixed all known bugs"
