Have you made any progress in your attempt to beat the game?

I think I spent too much time on this...

maybe.. but its still really awesome!!!!! i think you have a really good shot at winning the contest

This is fantastic. I like all of the added details. The one thing that still confuses me...why does the boost consume health upon use? Isn't the potential danger of running into a ceiling enough of a hazard? I personally don't find much use for it as it currently is, especially since there is now a "complete the level without taking damage" achievement. My two cents.

I didn't change anything. The only reason I updated the key was because the key got rejected again... Anyway, the bar represents your remaining energy. The game is meant to be challenging so I made boosting be a high risk that could potentially earn the player the time badge for the stage.

I finally beat the game And it is safe to conclude It is basically impossible to get every yellow dot unless if you are an extremely hardcore, world champion gamer I think this game should get more cutscenes, atleast one for the end This game is fantastic The prize is 100% worth beating the game for Really really really fun!

I'm glad you both enjoyed the game. I've collected all of the pixels multiple times so... I guess that makes me "an extremely hardcore, world champion gamer". I'm also glad you enjoyed the prize. It took forever to get those HD graphics to work.
SpoilerHD as in Horrible Definition. :)

I took a few hours off of Ramps and wrote some simple encryption software. I'll update the key once I test it out!

I now know why the game keeps getting taken down. It's because it's similar to the 1986 game called Thrust- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thrust_(video_game). I've never heard of the game, but I plan on changing the name to "propulsion" or something similar.

That's the reason, huh? They actually got back to you and told you that? Well, hopefully things will work out. Good luck.

It's not similar at all You can fly a triangle around... that's about all that's similar And you shouldn't have to change the entire game name just because of that... I call BS, SmileBOOM probably just got bored. They'd better not take down this encrypted version The encryption design is really nice by the way

Honestly, I'm happy that my game won't get denied anymore. Also, They were somehow able to take down the encrypted version but not one of my earlier versions..? Copyright is weird...

I'm curious, why is there a loading screen when you reset the level? Surely you wouldn't need all that loading time to reset all the entities etc. but what do I know.

Since I was kind of in a rush to complete the game during the contest, I didn't want to figure out how to reset the pixels and the start location during each reset. Instead, I just had the game clear all the data and reload the map entirely. Furthermore, the new wall shading feature I added at the end of the contest only made the loading time even slower. Thanks for reminding me of this though. I'll try to fix it soon.

Not a bad approach in a rush, it managed to get your game functional in time :) Also, the funky-looking background. Do you have one saved on the GRP or do you generate a new copy every time? Looks to me like it's algorithmically drawn.

It's saved on the GRP. I wrote a simple terrain generation program and rendered the image there. In the game itself, I used a repeating background layer.

That's the right way to do it :)
