DBOX: Share programs between 4-2 3ds

Root / Talk About Programs / [.]

CPunchCreated:
This program allows you to share programs with other local 3dses without using Smilebasics online service. This uses mpsend and mpreceive to share programs and data. Here's a pic of the main console (n3ds is host, 2ds is the client): https://ibb.co/fZ0xtv So far only txt files are supported, but I plan to add grp support than move my way to wav. Here's a pic of the host sending a 5417 line program to the client: https://ibb.co/evKe6F Speed may depend on size of program and setting. Vsync 2 is for small programs (1-500) and has a low rate of leaving chunks of code out. A 5417 line program took about 10 min to transfer. Vsync 4 is for medium programs (501-3000). This is a balance between leaving chunks out (very low) and speed. Vsync 6 is for large programs (3001+). No chance of missing chunks and slow speed. A 5417 line program took about 30 mins to transfer. Option menu: https://ibb.co/kOukfa I wont post a public key unless anyone really needs to use this as it's glitchy right now, and I don't want to send a bad copy until it's ready. Thanks for reading!

Welcome to the site, and thanks for posting! Providing a key helps us help you fix your bugs; if you want any tips, feel free to ask here, but provide a key (or at least some code samples)! Depending on the question, there's almost always someone to answer it. There's also the chat if you want to go into a discussion about something. Of course, once you wish to properly release your program, you'll need to create a page. There's also two other programs on this site which accomplish a similar task which you could use as reference. Don't feel discouraged, though! Multiple people working on the same idea can bring new knowledge into it; you're always contributing something. And you'd be learning either way, which is always good.

Thanks! Sad to hear I wasn't the first one to do this. Although I will definitely take a look at those programs. Thanks for linking those!

alas, if only we could all be first

Yes, I was surprised when I found out I wasn't the first one to make a OS... (I make 3DS OS) But, if you keep trying, eventually you will make something nobody has thought about. (Like my SBRadio.)

wow srsly Well, I came second on an idea and made a program much better than the one before me. Don't give up!
