This is my Ogiri entry - NINJA SOLVER, a puzzle-solving adventure game. Fans of Professor Layton should feel right at home! You play as AQ Arguro, a newbie ninja with a trusty feline partner Kate as they brave through challenges throughout their journey. Hints are available in game so that everyone can reach the ending. I'm still an SB beginner but I poured all what I learned so far in it!

Instructions:

All controls are explained in game. One save slot is available in this version. Hit L to obtain a hint and R to see some random exchanges. If you need more help, type HELP when a keyboard shows up and you'll get a super cheat hint. Only available in certain challenges.

Notes:

1. I used the VAR TEMP_SYSBEEP method to control SYSBEEP, but if it's still not working, sorry. 2. _J is the Japanese version and you may delete it to save ~250KB.

This looks cool just like all the other orgiri entrys let me try it.

This game is very enjoyable to play! I beat the game right now (not going to lie; I needed a couple of hints). I really liked the story of the game! And the puzzles were nice thought inducers indeed! Good work!

I'm still an SB beginner. I think not.

Thank you all! Keep those comments coming, I can take it! I still feel like a beginner because I can't keep up with most of the topics here, especially SB bug reports - it's all Greek to me. But if it's about inventing and applying what I've already learned, I think I can do that. Lots of serendipity happened in the creation of this game. I wanted to do a plain puzzle collection, but I saw the Ogiri theme and thought maybe I should just tack a ninja on it. So I flipped through the ninja sprites but somehow colored one of the cat's sprite red by accident. It looked meowgical and the idea of the story just popped into my head. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do!

This has been fun so far! On the second puzzle, however, I'm confused. There was an answer that I put in that's right, but it didn't work. ***** It's correct, right?

Most of the puzzles are asking for digits. So if my A is 9, B is 8, C is 6, D is 2 and so on, I should enter 9862*****. Keep up the good work :D

Oh, I see! Well, now I don't want to give the answer away! How do I delete my other comment? xD

Deleting that would remove this entire chain. Are you sure you want that? You could just edit and censor that part

Hover your mouse cursor over your original post (or tap on your post if you're on a smartphone) and an EDIT button should appear. But don't worry too much about it, it's only the second puzzle :)

I'm only getting a REPLY button on the original post. :c

Currently, you cannot edit a root comment because I don't want people to redact things and make the entire comment chain not make sense. I'm not sure if it should be like this or not... I've seen a lot of comment chains where it's like <deleted> -Yeah that's weird --I know right? ---More stuff that only makes sense with the original comment

Ah, awesome! Thank you~! (^-^)/

This was actually a nice game! But the last puzzle was really hard. I really don't like those *spoiler read the text backwards*selzzup eci*end of spoiler* It got really obvious after you figure it out. But still!

Thank you for the kind words! I know, I love puzzles that look intimidating at first, but once you see through the trick you're like "duuuh". Plus it's the final boss so I went with it :p If I'm lucky to get an Ogiri nomination I may have to add in a bigger hint.

That cat tho :3

"One save slot is available in this version." The japanese version has seperate saves. also good game

I donโ€™t understand what the 3rd puzzle is asking me to do.
