The grandest, largest RPG adventure on SmileBasic yet is finally available in its full glory, and in English! Rukaka's the original creator and I am the localizer. Magic Story, inspired by Compile's Madou Monogatari circa 1989 ("Puyo Puyo" came from there), is a dungeon crawl RPG. You will control two teams of teenager student mages in a monster-filled maze called Labrys. What's lurking in the deep bowels of the treacherous labyrinth? What destinies await each character? Are you able to beat the foul boss(es)? And WHAT IS A TALKING DOG DOING IN THE GAME?! Find out now!

Instructions:

Various instructions will be introduced in game. Press Y to switch between parties. Hold A then press B to set flags. Use D-pad to navigate the maze. Touch and C-pad not used.

Notes:

Rukaka is the original creator while LohadL is the English translator ----------------------------- Nov 27, 2018 edit: There are 5 known text display bugs so far. I guess we're really gonna do this, aren't we? :/ Ok now, go get it, wherever you are. Please. ;_;

Things like this are why SmileBasic costs (and is worth) 10 bucks in the e-shop i was about to ask why one of the main characters has cat features, then i remembered that this game was originally Japanese .

ok good timing ill get it now

Its fairly difficult, but there is so much content, I've been enjoying it for the past few weeks. I don't really like how you lose all progress when you die, I could be spending an hour and not get to a save point, and die and lose everything. It's still really addicting. This is definitely eshop quality!

there aren't save points. you save in the menu. then you select one of 30 save files to save to (yes that is a lot of save files and i'm not exaggerating i'm being serious.)

That's why there's a sign right off the bat that says this! Like Ralsei said, you can save whenever you want in the dungeon by opening up the menu, but not during events or battles. The 30 save slots were useful during testplay and debugging, so Rukaka decided to leave them be.
