I noticed that I couldn't read the compressed mess of 8x8 kanji on 3ds.

    IIRC, they do.

I'll buy a Wii U if SB BIG comes out in the US

  • #91 ✎ 34 PetitProfessor Any chance somebody is working on a translated function guide for this? I'm sure it's not too different from the 3DS version but, I'd hate to drop a bunch of money on a Japanese Wii U and spend most of my time deciphering google translate nonsense. Posted

It's really not all that different. I've gleaned pretty much all of the info required through Google Translate.

So is it known whether this will ever come out in the US?
I don't see why not. But then again, I don't see why SmileBASIC never came out in Europe, yet, that's still the case.

Programming Strength Avatar Taboo I didn't change my avatar for 180 days Website Forum Contributor Hidden Achievements I really hope this comes out in the US. I don't want to keep programming in SmileBASIC on a tiny screen with a keyboard not really meant for programming (a.k.a. a horrible experience for programming). Plus, it'd be exciting to try out SmileBASIC programs with a PC-like experience (if you put your Wii U on a desk and hook it to a PC monitor). Posted Edited by HTV04

i'd imagine it would still only support one key at a time for input, even with a usb keyboard.

It probably does. INKEY$ can only detect one key.

It probably does. INKEY$ can only detect one key.
INKEY$ is implemented on many systems which, in a wider sense, support multiple keypresses. Its semantics is, roughly, "the latest key that got pressed, if it is still pressed". The existence of an INKEY$ keyword in a language does not preclude other keyboard sense functions.
