So I thought about it and came up with the idea : step 1: Get CIA in SB step 2: Name it so that it looks like a normal program step 3: use compression on it and lock it with a PIN thing somebody once made step 4: Upload and make it public my question is, would this work ? Without it getting taken down (for atleast a few days) ?

and yes I know that would be illegal, but it would be useful for sharing SBFM or other homebrew applications.

Homebrew can already be shared online legally. The only thing illegal about CIAs is when they're used for piracy. In other words, this is pointless for anything other than piracy. Now, would it work? Well... sort of. The biggest problem here is the maximum upload size. With SB3, that's 4 MB without a gold membership, and 20 MB with one. Not only that, there's a limit on the number of projects you can upload. For small CIAs it might work to break it up into several chunks, but for larger CIAs you'll be out of luck. On top of that, it's not really worth the hassle when there's easier ways to do this already available. So, in short, it wouldn't be a good idea. Not only that, if SmileBASIC were to be used to pirate games regularly, that might very well get it taken off the eShop entirely, and I don't think anyone wants that.
