Uploading files named with @ causes server error

Root / SmileBASIC Bug Reports / [.]

snail_Created:
If you upload an individual file that has a @ character in its name (such as @BACKUP files) a dialog that says "An internal server error occurred" and the file will not upload. (Presumably the server produces a 500 Internal Server error.) Even though it does not normally appear on the file name keyboard @ is a symbol that you are allowed to use in filenames; it is used by backup files and will not produce an error when used in functions like SAVE. This error will not occur if an uploaded project folder contains a file with @, which is why some people's uploaded projects still contain @BACKUP files and upload just fine. Normally you can't use @ in a project name but if you edit your save data to do so and try uploading that folder, the error will occur as well.

Additional stuff that requires save editing: Trying to upload files with bad characters in their names like ! will produce the error, but doing it with folders will strip the characters from their names and upload them. Trying to upload things with lowercase letters in their names will produce the error.

Folders with . in the name can be uploaded (or at least, it was possible a year ago when I tried)

Yeah even though you can't technically create them you can still upload them because it's technically a valid name.
