SBS friend feature Idea

This is simply an idea, if nobody likes it or thinks it's necessary then by all means ignore it. Anyway, I had an Idea recently that goes like this: What if there was a friends system on SBS? Where you can add friends, and see what new things they've posted. (Comments, threads, etc.) I don't have a lot of thought put into the inner workings of this thought, but I thought I'd see what everyone thinks about something like this being implemented. (If nobody thinks this is a good idea, or if the admins don't like it, then feel free to delete this thread.)

Hm... yeah something like this should probably exist. I'll keep it in mind; I can't do anything right now, but I'll try to get something like that in there.

I've always thought being able to follow user activity would be a cool idea. Making it "friends" might be an unnecessary addition (I wouldn't want to see petty friends list wars) but being able to get alerts when @12Me21 posts, for example, would be fantastic. Controlling which categories (e.g. thread creation but not reply) would be even better, but one thing at a time.

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't want things to happen like "Wha?! You add (Whoever) to you're friends list but not me?! Oh IT'S ON" and stuff. (Which is why I'm merely says something based around this thought should/could be implemented, I'm really leaving all the thought process up to randomouscrap, the admins, and everyone else) As for a kind of "Following" feature, that would be a good addition.

How about instead of friending someone call it "following" and then alert the follower whenever the followee makes a post etc.
