(Yea, I know this doesn't fit here, but I don't have another forum to ask my question so Admins don't burn this thread and kill me ok?) Hello, if you have read the message above, yeah, I don't have another forum to post this, so, the problem is that I have a Knuckles Chaotix ROM, which for some reason crashes at random points in the game, I have tried to: 1. Free some space 2. Searching around GBATemp for answers 3. Downloading it from other source Name of my ROMs: Knuckles Chaotix (Europe).bin Knuckles Chaotix (Japan, US).bin For some reason the European one has more compatibility than the JP/US one. Crashing in: Many levels(rare) Special Stages(Less frequently on the 1st Special Stage) Bonus Stages(not very rare) If someone could give me a hand, it would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm assuming you're using a 3DS. I don't know if a Genesis Plus core is available, but if it is, I would recommend using that instead as it has more compatibility. As for the ROMs, if you can, check their SHA-1 hashes (on Windows, if possible, using the hashfile command) and compare them to the ones on No-Intro. If you have trouble finding how to get the hashes, ask me. If the hashes don't match, first check if you're under the right game title (look at the region!). If you've already checked that and it still doesn't look like it matches, you probably have a bad ROM. No worries, try getting the ROM from a more reputable source, perhaps an archive organization.

Thanks, I'll try that. P.D: Genesis Plus GX core is available, but it doesn't support 32X emulation :\

Does RetroArch on it's own support Genesis 32X emulation?

Wut RetroArch does nothing without a core But yeah, RetroArch's PicoDrive supports 32X emulation

So one or two searches (didn't know what was PicoDrive) led me to the reasoning that PicoDrive's 32X support is somewhat experimental and doesn't work with much games, and looks like Knuckles' Chaotix is one of those not-so-compatible games.

Well, I haven't seen any people having this problems yet. (If I had a YouTube account, I could show you a demonstration of the game crashing at some parts of the game)

Try looking for any 3DS-specific Genesis (with 32x support) emulators. Things like that are known to work better. If nothing's working, maybe 32X games aren't really suited for the 3DS. If you're looking for similar games, I would say Sonic 2 and 3&K are good choices.

To expand on my previous post, there is a standalone version of PicoDrive for the 3DS. Try that out and test if it works better.

Yeah, let's have in mind the 32X had 2 extra processors and even the PSP can't emulate it properly lol
click to die instantlyyou could play fortnite its actually not that bad

I use the RetroArch PicoDrive Forwarder on my Virtual Console injections, but I don't have the 32X games on my injections. That forwarder, I use, is on my O3DS I modded from a week ago on Thursday.

is that o3DS the same one that used to be stuck on the 3d check? if so, its nice that you are now able to use it :)

Yup, it is. I modded it and skipped the 3D Screen Check by using 2DSaver. Also, thanks, banana. ☺
