Yeah basically that ^ I'm bad at putting threads in the correct category :/ Anyway So I have big plans for this. I am mainly wanting to base the graphics and gameplay off of Super Metroid and am going to make a system in which you can travel between planets, similar to Metroid Prime 3. Ok AI is goinging nice. I made a bat go diagonally. Now I need to make animations and more AI stuff :) Oh also, why no votes on water planet? Does nobody like maridia or something? Maridia is one of the best sections in Super Metroid.

Oh also, I would like to have a composer helping (I probably have it covered with my mad skills, but just in case it would be nice.) I don't feel like using RWIIUG0129's BGM because it would be kind of repetitive, and it doesn't quite fit the style I want for this project. (Again, I'm going for a Super Metroid kind of style.)

So what types of monsters do you want? Post a list or something to tell me. If you need inspiration, try to base it off of an element (like earth, air, etc.) or a movement pattern of some sort. And boss poll: [poll=p613][/poll] You can suggest bosses as a post, as well.

Could you put a 3 headed dragon (boss) Skeleton turtles (basic enemy) Jello slime type enemy (basic enemy) Glass painting people (mini boss. This could add a cool game mechanic where it depends on the X coordinates of the boss to hurt it I mean you could use 3D but it would be cool. Rock, paper, scissors (over moderate trio enemy) yes, I know these ideas are quite... odd but I'm just trying to be creative. I feel like the more creative you get the more your game could stand out from the rest. Hope this at least helps with flexing your creative side. Edit: don't get TOO ridiculous. That could ruin your game.

What do you mean by glass painting people? What is/are it/they meant to do? I don't really understand it. Other than that, your ideas are interesting and I'll add them into the game.

Do you mean clone? I will add that in. I guess I could also have some sort of oven based enemy lol

Look I mean like a 2D person made of glass that you can/can't attack based on the X axis of him. just search glass paintings and you'll know what i meant. Uh whatever.

Now for the characters in the map data, I have a file containing ASC("0")-ASC("0")+499, so now we can have a large number of different things (mainly enemies) on the map. We would just have to find the correct character and copy/paste it.

I have officially changed the SPDEF stuff and sprite sheet. Now instead of having 4 player sprites (2 for movement, 1 for stationary, and one for dead), I have those 4 and 3 more. These include the player punching (gonna be used for shooting stuff), the player punching down (for bombs), and the suprised sprite. I am not sure what the last one will be used for, but it will be useful sometime in development. As for plot, I don't need any plot developers in this, because I will be making the plot along with the game. I don't actually need a ton of help for now; if someone wants to make better graphics after I release the full game, they can redo the sprite sheet stuff, as long as all of the new sprites are in the same place as the old ones. But help is appreciated.

Development on intro has started. This will mostly be map making. When I get to a point where I want to add enemies, it will include AI making too. This is gonna be interesting, because you can only have 4 doors, one facing each direction. That is unless you want to have a missile door or something (doesn't work yet :/)

Also, if you want fast as Sonic animated backdrops you should definitely try palette swapping. You can get plasma effect, and even animations if you do it carefully enough. (that cool as nuts sonic 3d intro was made that way)

I'm also making a map system with events for a side-project, If you desire to, I can try adapting it to your needs.
