Who owns a Circle Pad Pro for the old 3DS family members? It would be unfair. Whereever I look, this o3DS accessory doesn't appear anywhere in Saxony's electronic stores or secondhand shops. Amazon or eBay aren't options either. Also I don't think it fits on an o2DS because the ports and buttons are in a different place and the width (front to back) is as thick as a thumb at the top while the o3DS isn't. And I will never be able to own an old 3DS or the newer versions.
Oh ok. I just thought that could be a option as well. Actually I would probably prefer the l and r buttons anyway.

You know, I one hundred percent agree. It is a lot. Unfortunately, were using the built in map editor, and the bgscreens must be saved individually. This may be why random_guy wants to switch to randomous's lie-bary, but i'm not exactly sure.

That happens because the map editor store unused space. I think it's better if you handle the map by yourself. For example, in the demo that I posted on the first page, the space used for each room is 6962 bytes (However, it use only 2 background layers). I tested newsbtool map editor and the size for a map of 25x15 tiles (Enough to cover the top screen) is 70080 bytes (Using 4 layers). Regarding the code, there is a lot of code that is repeated across the file. For example, codes to load a map or code to display the message on screen. You should use a function instead for those since the only thing that change is the value you use (The name of the map or the message that is displayed).

That is the reason. An error keeps occuring when trying to load the map in the editor, it will crash when I hit the next button. I'll have to talk to randomouse.

I will probably add an arctic part of the world map. I might be an idiot and make the overworld maps huge. Yes, I said maps, I'm planning on having 3 overworlds split into sections. The amount of sections in each overworld will be a perfect square (4,9,16,ect.) so that the overworld will be a square (duh.) Now I did what I said I would do and copied this here word for word in like 2 minutes, including saying this. I also discluded the extra junk that doesn't belong here. EDIT: My edit doesn't count. OTHER EDIT: Same with my other edit. Just changing my time amounts to be more accurate.

Dang! School is starting soon. Hopefully this won't die, but progress will be slower with less time. But I am changing the song at the beginning when you start playing the game. Also, to convert the map to randoms library editor I changed the maps. Anyway, progress is going well. Thank you for waiting, and I will have it up hopefully within a month or 2. Screenshot:

K cool. The collision is going very nice. For the collision you just copy the bgget codes and insert the bg number. Also, I edited the tiles a bit to make the map. Also, each world (there will be 3) will have 25 sections (different parts to load.) I will release the next version to the public soon. I will put ot on the demo page. Link: Ruebled demo

Hey guys, I'm just back from a break from SB, and I noticed that you originally posted that you had an opening for a AI developer (presumably for enemies, or other NPCs). If this position is not already filled, I would take it gladly. I have done much research on AI, and perhaps you would even allow me to imbue the NPC's with some simple learning (for example to make boss battles hard, as they slowly learn the players strategies.) (Q-learning, Eurisko-type learning, simple stuff like that)

Or is this just another dead project?

I have done much research on AI, and perhaps you would even allow me to imbue the NPC's with some simple learning (for example to make boss battles hard, as they slowly learn the players strategies.) Sorry, I haven't been on in a week. I would love it if you did the AI. This is still up, I just have some other projects. So, yeah. Next version isn't ready though, so please be patient.

I have decided to make it so that you are a young human who wants to do something, but don't know what you're getting into. The story will be a bit more tragic hopefully, that's what I am headed for. I will start a new folder to make the new story; if you don't agree, I can always go back to the old folder but I will lose alot of features and bug fixes and I dont want that. So vote here: [poll=p539][/poll] And vote before the 4th! EDIT: I'm also definitely changing the bg tiles to 32x32 pixels, to give it that feeling y'know? (this will also apply to sprites)

Ok, everyone, just to make things clear, we are not scaling up the sprite sheet. We are using spscale and bgscale, but we are scaling the bg sheet up. So, yeah.
