Mine will be a zombie apocaladips game!

I decided to cancel my game because I didn’t feel enough motivation to make any gameplay and the small timeframe of this contest doesn’t allow me to inspire myself again and the Sonic CD port I was developing is also a factor in this. Besides, what am I gonna buy on the eshop with just $41.30 or so? Mario tennis aces? Nope. If anyone wants the key to what little I made, just ask. I probably won’t develop this game any further so why not. I also give your permission to finish the game if you want. However, rules will apply.
read themDo not submit it for the contest. Yeah, all my development was done during the contest, but just don’t. Do not claim the game as 100% yours. Yeah, 90% of the game belongs to you but I made the remaining 10% so I deserve at least some credit. And that’s it. Those are the only rules I have set in place.

Day 3, toad drops out with lack of motivation and asks if we want a key to his project even though he just said it lacked motivation and anything

I meant so whoever asked could see what little story I wrote and the sprites I made that are barely different from the normal ones and use them (and what little other work I did) in a revival (no seriously they sprites are just ghosts in various colors that reference PAC-MAN and a skeleton with a hovering cyan pupil (as in an eye pupil, obviously) ) Maybe I’ll revive the game myself some day but probably not

I restarted. I will publish my original program so you can compare it with the reboot. I already have a stable enough version so that you can walk and open doors, but I need to add Baldi, Playtime, and Principle. I will also need to add keys and doors that require a certain amount of notebooks. I will also delete my original after publishing it.

Well crap. I kinda want to try a semi 3d game but I know trying even if I succeeded would take more time than worth it probably. Maybe get some help...

Are dev teams in a competition allowed or is it singular dev only?

I’d imagine teams would be unfair, unless it’s a bunch of beginners that barely know what they’re doing *conscience slaps me* hmm.

would be pretty cool though if there was a teamed contest

Are dev teams in a competition allowed or is it singular dev only?
But if a dev team wins, who will get the reward?

If I was to join a team/participate in a contest it would be for fun For most people that would be a little tough to make up a decision. Either they could share it, one or more works for free, or (and likely not to happen) each gets the full reward. I'm sure rewards can be more creative than just money

After some testing with a 3d thing, it would need much more work. So nope. Good news is that not I have a working prototype.

[poll=p476][/poll] I could make a really good game without a solid story so as your preference do you like seeing a story that can be followed or more over creepy not knowing what is going on thing that is more scary for no reason? That's the main point.

But without good ideas / information go create it, it goes out the window. It's just the process of what it will be based on for me right now. Once I have for sure what it will be and sude it will work I can start it. I like being sure about a game idea so j don't get halfway and realize I cannot do the rest of that it's just not good enough.

So to be extra clear resources created prior such as prg's and sprites CAN be used again?

It said libraries can but it didn’t say sprites.

Nothing that was made before the contest is allowed except for libraries that are available to the public.

Yes but in the past that has included sprites such as bg tiles if they are openly available (or even not iirc). The ones I would like to use are public and open for anyone to freely use, part of my game making library I use personally. Assumidly this counts but if not please tell me right away (@random or @Y_ack)

Public graphic resources are fine, but umm only if they were published with the intent of being used by others. If you're taking undertale sprites from a project and there's any sense of permission required, the resource isn't really 'free.' That means things that are very clear about it : https://smilebasicsource.com/page?pid=843
