R-OS Super Saturn X Development Fourm

Why do I want it to come out sooner? So I can create a better version of it.

I'm planning on encrypting its code.

How will you run it then? If you don’t make a decrypter, your code won’t run. You also need to re-encrypt it when you’re done. Your code also won’t run unless it’s loaded into a slot, which means I can easily pause the program and modify the code. Face it, anyone’s attempts at protecting their code from being copied are useless and only make development harder. Trust me, you’ll only be wasting your time. Also, you clearly mentioned you copied code from 3DS OS to get this to work, so why is it suddenly wrong for me to “steal” your OS and poke a little fun at it? Here, take a look at this quote from R3C0RD that you commented on earlier but perhaps you need a refresher on, censored just for you: “You um... You can't license anything on SB... Also Creative Commons licenses are not for programs: https://creativecommons.org/faq/#can-i-apply-a-creative-commons-license-to-software Please just live with the fact that people are going to copy your *ohno a baddy waddy* and not give attribution. It's annoying and it sucks, but there's nothing you can do about it. If you really care this much, learn how to write homebrew and make it closed source. Or, even better, LICENSE IT. I'm going to repeat what I said, but in bold letters and underlined: YOU CAN'T APPLY SOFTWARE LICENSES TO SMILEBASIC PROGRAMS AND YOU CANNOT PREVENT PEOPLE FROM REUSING YOUR CODE WITHOUT ATTRIBUTION. Thank you for understanding, and hopefully other people will read this too.”

i think they meant obfuscated.

Anyway, RGames, do you have an estimated time for a release date? I hope you continue working on this, I already have ideas for a sequel to my last R-OS release. EDIT: If you release now, I won’t be able to upload anything until Luma3DS is patched, so, you’ll probably at least get a week head start. :)

R-OS SSX is planned to be able to be programmed for so I will have to test it... a lot.

You should release updates as patches instead of just the same files over and over again. Then to update require the user to just apply patches to their base installation.

I tried that with R-OS Saturn.

R-OS SSX JUST DROPPED! ITS NOW CALLED R-OS V!

Cool.

R-OS V 1.0 is still being developed... I'm adding Draggable Icons into R-OS V, I am also fixing A BUNCH of bugs. Estimated Release Date: Tonight

New R-OS V update! Finally out of Public Beta!

Ooh, what a perfect time to release a new R-OS and bring back the old one!

I know a way to encrypt your code. Save a dat file with all the array variables equal to a number for each code. Then make a small program to run a code for each array variable. If you use goto or gosub or def, it might not work so well.

Who would copy your code anyway without giving credit, besides that one annoying guy who copied alpha-os-x?

Yeah. It’s not like anyone would want to use it anyway.

You mean KTH2Daniel? Yeah, he was obviously a website troller. Just releasing unchanged programs over and over again. He definetely needs some help.
