Making team for first person shooter

  • #1 ✎ 178 Shelly Okay, so at first I wanted to make a first person shooter using polygon rendering. However, after several delays I have decided to switch it to be raycaster-based. This will allow for MUCH smoother gameplay, but will also have a few drawbacks such as not being able to have maps with height. As of now I have successfully implemented Calc84maniac's raycaster, and have rendered a map. However, there is still a LOT to do, such as making a system for enemies, ammo, and hits. Screenshots to come. Comment if possibly interested in helping. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ UPDATE (Yes, this is current): Okay, so the rendering and collision is completely done. Now I just need to work on making maps, as well as the shooting/ health mechanic. After that I will work on multiplayer, as well as an ammunition system. Look for a demo within a few days.     Simplistic 3d rendering. I am currently working on some sprite stuff. Demo should be released withing a few days. I'm not that good at sprite work, so anyone willing to work on sprites would be greatly appreciated.
